The project is divided into 4 well defined work packages (WP)
|
Project coordinator
- Svein Valla (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway)
|
| |
WP1: Strain construction and cultivation
- Svein Valla (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway)
- Trond E. Ellingsen (SINTEF, Norway)
Grows cells in continuous cultures enabling analysis of the effects on global metabolic networks resulting from carefully controlled induction of alginate biosynthesis.
|
| |
WP2: Global analysis
- Trond E. Ellingsen (SINTEF, Norway)
- Uwe Völker (University of Greifswald, Germany)
Supplies transcriptome, metabolome, proteome and fluxome data for the modelling of effects of perturbations of the metabolic network that results from controlled induction of alginate biosynthesis in P. fluorescens.
|
| |
WP3: Integrative data analysis
- Roy Goodacre (The University of Manchester)
Mines the global non-targeted transcriptome, proteome and metabolome data generated from WP2. Applies a top-down approach to the data using novel Artificial Intelligence and Evolutionary Computation algorithms.
|
| |
WP4: Cell modelling
- Jens Nielsen (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway
and Technical University of Denmark, Denmark)
Develops an improved genome-scale metabolomic model that will be used for integration of omics data and as a simulation tool to understand and predict metabolic network properties with particular emphasis on alginate biosynthesis.
